Kundalini Yoga to Overcome Addiction
Jun 14, 2016We all can admit we suffer from some sort of addiction. If it's not drugs or alcohol, it's caffeine or sugar. We can be addicted to sex, food, work, you name it. Addiction takes on many forms, yet the root of all addiction is a negative pattern.
Addiction causes an imbalance in the pineal gland most commonly known as our third eye. An imbalance of the pineal gland affects honing into our intuition clearly. This eventually causes bad habits which then result in addiction. If our glandular system is out of whack, know that this often comes from an imbalance in the pituitary gland. We want to stay disciplined and aware of when our mind and body are out of alignment with our truth.
This meditation can help correct and find alignment to this imbalance in 40 days if practiced daily.

MANTRA :: SAA-TAA-NAA-MAA 🎶

TIME :: 3-7 minutes. as you practice, you can work your way up to 31 minutes. ⏱
Sit in Easy Pose, with a light jalandhar bandh. elongate the spine to allow the Kundalini energy to rise up the spine. Press thumbs into the temple; the very niche where the thumbs fit effortlessly. Firmly curl your fingers into the mounds of each palm. with your eyes closed, lock the back molars and keep your lips closed. With teeth pressed together, alternately press and release the molars as you mentally chant the mantra by each syllable. You'll know if you've found the sweet spot as the muscle behind your thumbs start to rhythmically move to the the Panj Shabd mantra.
